As Medical Director of Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center, Dr. Robert Pugach has focused his career on minimally invasive therapies for treating urologic conditions, including advanced treatments for prostate cancer (See dedicated HIFU site), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney cancer, bladder control problems for men and women, and other urologic concerns. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from New York University and his medical degree from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He did his general surgery residency at New York University-Booth Memorial Medical Center and completed his urology training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Pugach actively pursues continuing education and training by participating in meetings of the American Urological Association (AUA) and numerous other professional organizations. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Institute of Healthcare Quality for the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review and honored as an educator with a lifetime membership in the Harvard Men’s Health Forum.
In addition to his urology practice, Dr. Pugach has served on numerous committees for the California Medical Association and he was elected Vice Chair of the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Organized Medical Staff Governing Council.
